Nathan Hays
Nathan Hays (B.A., Baylor University; M.Div., Duke Divinity School; Ph.D., Baylor University) is Program Manager of the Institute for Faith and Learning and the Soundings Project, a grant-funded initiative of the Lilly Endowment Inc.
As he served churches in North Carolina and Texas, he developed passions for teaching in both the church and the academy and for preaching. In addition to his work with IFL, he has been an adjunct instructor at Truett Seminary.
He enjoys researching the ancient Israelite and Judean priesthood, especially as it appears in the books of Leviticus and Malachi. His articles have appeared in scholarly journals, including Zeitschrift für die alttestamentliche Wissenschaft, Journal for the Study of the Pseudepigrapha, Catholic Biblical Quarterly, Journal for the Study of the Old Testament, and the Journal of Biblical Literature.
Nathan is married to Lydia, who works as a speech pathologist and actively volunteers in the community. They have three children, two dogs, a cat, and a pig.
