Christian Scholars Fellowship Lunch
1120 S 5th St
Waco, TX 76706
Are you a graduate student or faculty member looking for an opportunity to talk with others about what it means to be a Christian scholar and teacher?
Christian Scholars Fellowship brings together Baylor graduate students and faculty for regular conversations about Christian scholarship, teaching, and academic vocation. Through shared readings and discussion, participants explore how Christian faith informs the work of researching, teaching, and learning in the university.
This fall, Christian Scholars Fellowship is reading Parker J. Palmer's To Know as We Are Known: Education as a Spiritual Journey.
At this meeting, we will discuss the preface, introduction, and chapter 1. Participants are encouraged to complete the reading beforehand.
Meals at Penland are provided, but participants will need to show their Baylor ID and say that they are with Christian Scholars Fellowship.
Limited complimentary copies of To Know as We Are Known, provided with support from the Institute for Faith and Learning, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can request a copy here.
Christian Scholars Fellowship is open to Baylor graduate students and faculty.
If you are interested in coming, please email Ariadne Lewis to be added to the email list for updates.
