Vocare

Generously supported by the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE), Baylor University’s Vocare initiative expands and deepens vocational exploration for faculty and students, inviting reflection on how faith and calling are intertwined in our lives and careers.
The core of Vocare is a series of programs, seminars, workshops, and retreats designed to embed and integrate vocational topics into both new and existing programs and traditions at Baylor University:
- First, various faculty development programs and retreats will be enhanced to incorporate vocational-related themes.
- Second, Brooks Residential College’s cocurriculum will be tailored toward vocational themes. Brooks will host weekly seminars, discussions, and other events focused on vocation, the pursuit of the common good, the purposes of higher education, and the good life.
- Third, university-wide programs such as chapel services, workshops, and lectures will offer broader exposure to vocational reflection for the larger university community.
