Responsibilities for Mentees

Associate professor participants will be expected to:

• Attend the kickoff workshop and dinner
• Meet monthly with their full professor mentor
• Complete a Mentoring Covenant 
• Attend the four cohort lunches 
• Participate in the two-day capstone retreat
• Reflect on progress toward scholarly, pedagogical, vocational, and promotion-related goals

Responsibilities for Mentors

Full professor mentors will be expected to:

• Attend the kickoff workshop and mentor training
• Meet monthly with their mentee
• Help the mentee clarify goals related to promotion, scholarship, teaching, vocation, and institutional contribution
• Support the mentee’s reflection on Baylor’s Christian mission and the academic vocation
• Participate in the two-day capstone retreat
• Draw on mentor resources provided by IFL throughout the year
