Faculty Missio

Faculty Missio is a cohort-based discussion group for junior faculty in their first, second, or third year at Baylor University. Through shared readings and conversation, participants explore Baylor's Christian mission, the relationship between faith and learning, and the vocation of teaching and scholarship within a Christian research university.

Each gathering provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across disciplines while reflecting on questions of Christian vocation, academic life, and Baylor's distinctive mission. Faculty Missio seeks to cultivate thoughtful conversation, interdisciplinary friendship, and a shared commitment to Baylor's mission.

Fall 2026 Schedule

All meetings are held from 12:30–1:30 p.m. in the McMullen-Connally Faculty Center. Lunch is provided.

Come for a monthly free lunch, to connect with other new faculty members, meet with Baylor leaders, and explore the meaning of academic vocation at a Christian research university!
