Plenary Speakers
Curt Thompson is a psychiatrist, author, and speaker who integrates interpersonal neurobiology with a Christian understanding of human flourishing. Through his books, workshops, consulting, and clinical practice, he helps people explore questions of identity, purpose, grief, faith, and belonging. Thompson emphasizes the importance of authentic relationships, arguing that true growth and healing begin when individuals engage honestly with their own stories. With warmth, insight, and practical wisdom, he equips people to better understand how relationships shape the brain and the self, empowering them to cultivate deeper connections with God, themselves, and others, and to live more meaningful, connected lives.
Norman Wirzba is a theologian, author, and scholar whose work explores the connections between faith, ecology, ethics, and human flourishing. A frequent lecturer and leader in interdisciplinary environmental research, he has helped shape conversations around climate change, food systems, and humanity’s relationship with the created world. Wirzba is the author of numerous influential books, including Love’s Braided Dance, Food and Faith, The Paradise of God, and Way of Love. Through his teaching and writing, he invites audiences to consider how practices of care, community, and stewardship can cultivate more faithful and flourishing lives.
